Or, in this case, Neo-Advaita...
I am an advocate for warning spiritual seekers about this false form of spirituality. Neo-Advaita is the Westernized, thus bastardized, form of the ancient Indian practice Advaita that dictates, for peace to exist, one only has to realize that the world and all dual-natured concepts are illusory. That nothing, no event, possesses meaning (regardless the circumstances and the immensity of the event) and that humans are simply energized "bodyminds" formed from consciousness.
There isn't any room for personal and integral development. From what I have heard, it is like a spiritual drug, an opiate, that feeds off of ones yearning to only live for the moment. It leaves many with an arrogant streak, because they feel they have learned the truth about existence. Imagine the Gnostic's view of the universe, but without the will to better ones self to be free. Not even that matters. So, beware...
